Another year and another Ironman, only bigger and even more exciting then before with 1407 participants taking to the water at 7am.
the swim was very fast, as indeed was the bike race, we really thought that records would be broken, but as the weather was so hot by the time the Marathon had started, it slowed down a bit and the winner Aneko Llanos from Spain came in just over 2 minutes of the record at a time of 8.38.
All in all though a great day in Lanzarote

Ironman Lanzarote was amazing this year with over 1300 Participants taking part, it was my 14th and hopefully not my last.
Although I didnt gig while I was over in Lanzarote it was lovely catching up with old and very dear Friends.

More News, I am in Dublin again for a Charity night.
May 1st I have been invited back to the GAA in Cabra, performing a set of international songs from the 60s upwards
and then a Neil Diamond Tribute, Tiuckets can be Purchased at the door.
Well this month im off to Dublin to a Beautiful Pub called the Brian Boru, otherwise known as Heddigans,
I will be there on the 20th and Door Price is 5 Euros, more info coming up Shortly, I have also been invited Back to the GAA
in Cabra Dublin to Perform for a Charity Night in May, again more info as I get it

2 of Diamonds Neil Diamond Birthday Party
Friday 23rd January was an amazing night as Paul and I teamed up for the second time, and took our 2 of Diamonds Concert to Dublin
Hosted by our good friend Ambrose, the Charity Evening was a major success we raised around £2000 for Project Soolaimon, Paul and his wife Tracy's Charity. Once again it was an honour to perform alongside Paul, who is undoubtably the leading Neil Diamond tribute, and also my very close Friend. Many thanks to the People of Cabra for making us feel so welcome, the Management and Staff of the GAA Cabra, and to all the People that came to see us from far and wide. Neil Diamond World Tour 2008
Croke Park, Dublin was my destination last Saturday for Neils first visit in 4 years, I started the weekend off though visiting and meeting Ambrose O'Shea,
Irelands biggest Neil Diamond Memorabilia Collector, what an amazing Gentleman, him and his family made us very welcome, and both his collection and Knowledge are immense, many thanks to Ambrose who I hope I will be seeing again soon, To the Concert on Saturday, what can I say, Superb!, in my opinion he has never sounded better,
his ballads were beautiful and if you are a fan of his early work you will not be disapointed either, from Sweet Caroline to Forever in Blue Jeans, like me if you are enjoying Neils new work, he also sang a few of the songs from his new Album, Home Before Dark.
If you have not already got Tickets click here as this has to be one of the best Concerts, I hope not the last either.

Well it's official Jules will shortly be back on the Radio, he has been asked to present a show daily on Buzz FM, His show will be from 2pm to 4pm monday to friday, and will comence on New Years Eve, to listen online you can download the Buzz FM Toolbar with its state of the art media player

Great bit of news, Jules Pal Paul George AKA the Diamond Geezer and Jules will be teaming up for a show entitled "The Two of Diamonds". This will be at the Festival Drayton Centre in Market Drayton on the 7th November. Tickets can now be purchased by calling the Box Office on 01630 654444. May 19th 2007Well another year over, and another Ironman on its way, this one proves to be yet even bigger than before, Jules will again take to the Power Tower for his 11th, 17 Hour non stop Commentary of this the biggest Sporting Event in the Canary Islands.Jules will link up as always to Outside Broadcast Studios of Power FM,
to provide the Listeners with an up to date Progress Report throughout the Day.
